Handcrafted Urlacher Guitars
I currently custom build three steel-string guitar models: the Grand Concert Guitar (Martin 000), the Parlor 12 Fret Guitar (Martin 0), and the Tenor Guitar (Martin 0-18T).
Grand Concert (based off Martin 000, 14 fret)
The Grand Concert is arguably one of the most versatile guitar designs. With strong, clear mids and highs, the body is compact and comfortable yet large enough to produce a well-balanced, broad tonal response. This mid-size instrument is ideal for the fingerstylist but also appropriate for the flatpicker.

Parlor (based off Martin 0, 12 frets to body)
The Parlor is a small-bodied guitar that packs in a surprising amount of volume and punch for its size. The 12 fret neck configuration contributes to a richness of tone that is perfect for expressive fingerstyle music. The shorter and wider neck makes this instrument very comfortable to play and gives it a similar feel to that of a classical guitar.
Parlor 12 Fret Guitar Specs
- Lower Bout - 13 1/2"
- Upper Bout - 9 5/8"
- Body Length - 19 1/8"
- Total Frets - 19"

Tenor Guitar (based off the Martin 0-18T)
A tenor guitar is a fretted four-stringed instrument which usually has a scale length of 23 inches and is often tuned in "fifths" to CGDA. It has been around for over 100 years and has been built by some of the most popular guitar companies. Today, the tenor guitar is finding a place in contemporary folk, as well as Celtic and other ethnic styles.
The Urlacher Tenor Guitar is loosely based off the Martin 0-18T. It has a slightly larger body than the Martin but a considerably smaller body than a standard OM shape. The scale length is the same at 23 inches, and I will be offering a six-string version of this guitar as well.
